This document covers how to set up Camayak and BLOX for the purpose of publishing articles.

Creating a Camayak Publishing Destination

In Camayak, a Publishing Destination is a location you want to send published assignments. By setting up BLOX as a publishing destination, you are able to publish assignments to BLOX.

To log into your Camayak account, click the link below:

Creating Destination

Select Publishing Destinations from your site drop down.

Select Content API from Add new publishing destination menu.

Enter the information requested

Publishing Destination Name - This is simply a name for the destination for future reference.

Webhook Notify URL - This is where Camayak sends the assignments. For BLOX this will always be https://www.example.com/tncms/camayak/post/ where www.example.com is your domain.

Shared Secret - This is a user-defined secret used for signing transmissions. It is used so BLOX and Camayak can verify the transmission is coming from the other, and not a third party.

Save.

Entering Publishing Destination Info

Note the API Key in the window that follows. This is also used for Signing Transmissions and should be kept private. The Shared Secret is also shown again in this window. The Shared Secret and API Key will be needed by BLOX.

Configuring BLOX to Accept Assignments

Once Camayak has been configured to send assignments, BLOX must be configured to handle the assignments it receives.

Entering API information

From the dropdown in the the upper left choose Settings / Camayak...  

Enter API information in the new window that opens up.

Enter API Key in API Key field

Enter Shared Secret in HMAC Shared Secret field

Setting Default Section Mapping

Add a Default Category Mapping

Click Add under Default Section

Select Sections to be applied to all uncategorized or unmatched assignments from Camayak.

Setting Remote Taxonomy Mapping

Add Remote Mappings

Click New just above Remote Taxonomy

Enter the Camayak Category in the Remote Taxonomy field

Click Add below Local Mapping

Select Sections to be applied to all assignments that match the remote taxonomy

Repeat steps three and four if you need to set up additional Section Mappings, otherwise, click on the dropdown arrow on the Save button and select Save and Close.
