New Subscription Wizard
Overview
This overview details the steps of the New Subscription Wizard starting with providing User Details, making a Package Selection, selecting Payment Details, optionally adding a New Card, Purchase Review, and Confirmation.
đ One of the time saving improvements of the New Subscription Wizard is that it creates both the Subscription and associated User Account without having to manually create the User Account in a different place first as with the Legacy BLOX CMS Adminâs Subscription Wizard!

Step 1 of the New Subscription Wizard - User Details
The New Subscription Wizards starts by asking for the Subscriberâs Personal Information and their Address Information.
Personal Information includes information about the subscriber including Email, First Name, Last Name whereas Address Information includes details such as Address, City, Postal Code, Country, State/Region, and Phone.
Starting from the Single Customer View
When the New Subscription Wizard is opened from the Single Customer View, the Personal and Address Information is automatically populated with the selected contactâs information.
Step 1 of the Cancel Subscription Wizard showing the Contact search and the âCreateâ [New Contact] option.
Starting from the Contacts Search
When the New Subscription Wizard is opened from the Contacts Search, the Personal and Address Information will be blank by default.
Clicking on the Email field will open a Contact search. BLOX will automatically search for, and find existing Contacts by Email, First Name, and Last Name. Selecting an existing Content will populate the Personal Information and Address Information, where possible. If the Email canât be found in the existing Contacts, the CSR will enter the full email address and click âCreateâ to create a new Contact (User Account). When creating a new Contact, the CSR will need to enter and confirm a Password for the new User Account. We recommend they check the âAllow user to set own passwordâ option to ensure the new Subscriber receives an email to reset their password when the CSR clicks âCreate User & Continueâ right after the User Account is created.
After providing all of the User Information the Customer Service representative (CSR) clicks âNextâ to continue setting up the New Subscription.
Step 2 - Package Selection
Step 2 of the New Subscription Wizard - Package Selection
The second step of the New Subscription Wizard allows the CSR to select a Subscription Service and Rate.
After selecting a Subscription Service and Rate, the Service Description and Subscription Terms will be displayed and may be read to the new subscriber. For a larger view of either the Subscription Terms or Subscription Description, the CSR may click the square brackets just to the left of those respective labels.
đ If the selected Subscription Package Service is a âFreeâ type Subscription Service, there will be no rate selection and the next step is thePurchase Review. The Service Description will be displayed and may be read to the new subscriber.
The CSR clicks âNextâ to continue setting up the New Subscription.
Step 3 - Payment Details
Step 3 of the New Subscription Wizard - Payment Details
The third step of the New Subscription Wizard allows the CSR to select or provide Payment Information. By default, all active credit cards that have been previously added to the Contactâs wallet will be available for selection. A scroll will be available if there are more than 3 active credit cards available.
The CSR will either click to select an existing card or click âAdd New Cardâ.
After selecting a Payment Method, the CSR clicks âReviewâ or âNextâ to proceed to the next step.
đ If the Subscription Package selected in Step 2 does not contains a print product, the next step is the Purchase Review. If, however, the Subscription Package selected in Step 2 does contain a print product, the next step will be to Enter the Delivery Address.
Add New Card
If the customer doesnât have any cards in their wallet, or would rather pay with a different card, the CSR may click âAdd New Cardâ to add a new card to the Contactâs wallet.
During the first step of adding a new card, the CSR will enter the Billing Information associated with the new card, then click âNextâ to proceed. By default, Billing Information will default to the Userâs Address provided in Step 1.
In the second and final step of adding a new card, the CSR will enter the Card Information, optionally âSet [this new card] as [the] primary payment methodâ, then click âAdd Cardâ to return to the Step 3 of the New Subscription Wizard with the new card selected.
Enter the Delivery Address - print products only
When the Subscription Package selected in Step 2 contained a print product, the CSR will be required to enter the Delivery Address. By default, Delivery Address will default to the Userâs Address provided in Step 1.
After entering or confirming the Delivery Address, the CSR clicks âReviewâ to proceed to the Purchase Review.
Step 4 - Purchase Review
Step 4 of the New Subscription Wizard - Purchase Review
The Purchase Review allows the CSR the opportunity to review the previous selections including the User Information and the Payment & Subscription Information with the Contact and change anything as needed.
If any information needs updating, the CSR may click the edit option next to either User Information or Payment & Subscription information to make changes and then click âReturn to Reviewâ to jump right back to this Purchase Review.
Once the CSR has finished reviewing, the CSR clicks âPurchaseâ to process their payment, create the new subscription, and proceed to the final step of the New Subscription Wizard.
Step 5 - Confirmation
Step 5 of the New Subscription Wizard - Confirmation
The final step of the New Subscription Wizard is the Confirmation.
If the payment is processed successfully, the confirmation will have a 'Success!â message along with a reminder that a confirmation email was sent to the subscriberâs email address.
đ There is a slight delay from when the New Subscription Wizard is successfully completed and when the new Subscription appears within the Single Customer View. This has been noted, and we are investigating ways to improve in a future release.
