Feeds Search Interface Overview
Overview
This overview describes the various areas of the Feeds Search Interface within the Editorial Application, including the Search Result View Options, Channel and Search Filter, Advanced Filters, Quick Filters and Search Results.
⚠️ BETA. Please pardon our dust, this area is under construction. ⚠️
The Feeds Search Interface within Editorial.
Feeds (Legacy Syndication) is used to aggregate and manage third-party content from available Syndication Channels across the web for use within BLOX CMS.
Feeds requires Channels be configured such as the BLOX Content Exchange, RSS, WordPress, AP, YouTube, etc., to pull in content. Once a Channel has been setup and configured, the Channel and Search Filter along with the Advanced Filters may be used to find content within the selected Channel based on specific criteria.
That criteria can then be used as the basis of a Content Importer for automatically pulling in content on an ongoing basis. Content Importer setup will be managed via the Legacy BLOX CMS Admin at this time. Existing Content Importers will continue to import content into BLOX NXT.
Search Results View Options
The Search Results View Options allow for the Search Results to be displayed in a Grid View, Summary View, or the default List View.

Channel and Search Filter
The Channel Filter contains a selection of the Channels that have been setup and the Search Filter allows the user to enter ‘search text’ to filter the search results within the selected Channel.

Advanced Filters

Quick Filters
The Quick Filters feature allows syndication editors and content distribution managers to save and quickly reapply frequently used sets of search criteria within the Feeds/Syndication application.
To Create a New Filter
Users can create a new Quick Filter by first applying their desired combination of filters—such as Source Site, Tag, Asset Type, Publish Date, Workflow Status, or Destination Rules—within the Feeds/Syndication search panel. Once the filters are applied, selecting “Create new filter” from the Quick Filters dropdown allows users to name the configuration and optionally designate it as either Private (visible only to them) or Shareable (available to all users with access to the Feeds/Syndication application).
After saving, the new Quick Filter appears in the Quick Filters dropdown within the Feeds search interface and on the Quick Filters list page, ensuring easy access from both BLOX and NXT environments. Selecting a saved Quick Filter automatically reapplies all associated filters and updates the channel selection and search results accordingly.
To Manage Filters
Users can manage their existing Quick Filters from the Quick Filters list page, residing within the Feeds application, which provides options to view and delete (coming soon) filters. Filters are organized into two tabs—My Filters (personal)and Shared With Organization —making it easy to distinguish between individually created filters and those shared across the team.
Search Results
Assets matching the Channel Search Filter and Advanced Filters will be listed in the Search Results.

📝 When opened the asset displays as read-only with the option to 'Add to Site’ in place of the Publish, Save, and View options. An additional ‘View Original‘option is available under the ‘Add to Site’ option. The ‘View Original’ option will open the original asset from its canonical source. Images and video within the Media Gallery will not preview until after an asset has been added to your site.
Individual assets may be manually imported (Add to Site). When importing an asset, any associated child assets will be included in the import automatically.
When manually adding an asset to your site, a notification badge will appear over the Create Shortcut option and subsequently a batch over the Batch Upload/Import option. This will contain a list of processes you have recently performed manually.
Status
After the asset has been successfully imported, it’s Status field will display a Status of ‘Imported’ (green ‘checkmark’ icon). The Status field will update to display a Status of ‘Update Available’ (blue ‘reuse’ icon) when there has been an updated to the source asset since it was originally imported.
