What is Content Management?
Content Management is the application where editorial content is created and managed within the CMS. Editorial content includes articles, images, videos, polls, tables and other types of assets. For additional information check out our Content Management Interface Overview.
What fields are required when creating an asset?
Certain asset types require specific fields to be completed before they can be saved. If any required field is missing during save, it will be highlighted in red text below that field.
How do I create an article asset?
From anywhere within Content Management, follow the directions below.
Click the Create Shortcut option (the ‘+’ in the upper right)
Select the ‘Article’ Asset Type

How do I add Section tags?
To add or edit Section tags, follow the directions below.
Open the asset
Navigate to the Metadata Tab within the Content Overview Panel
Click ‘Sections’ to navigate to the Sections metadata
Click in the Sections field to open the Sections dialog
Type the Section name you want to add in the ‘Search sections…’ text field
📝 Alternatively you may choose the ‘Switch to tree view’ option in the upper right to select the Section you want to add from a tree.
Check the Section you want to add
Click ‘Update’
📝 The first section (the section at the top) defines the default display for context when the asset is viewed on your website.
To reorder assigned Section tags, follow the directions below.
Open the asset
Navigate to the Metadata Tab within the Content Overview Panel
Click ‘Sections’ to navigate to the Sections metadata
Click in the Sections field to open the Sections dialog
Click ‘Selected’ to expand the assigned sections
Drag the Section you want as your primary section to the top of the list
📝 The Primary Section is marked with a ‘star’ icon.
Click ‘Update’
How do I add Keywords?
To add or edit Keywords, follow the directions below.
Open the asset
Navigate to the Metadata Tab within the Content Overview Panel
Click ‘Keywords’ to navigate to the Keywords metadata
Click in the Keywords field
Type the Section name you want to add in the ‘Search sections…’ text field
⚠️ If the Section name you are wanting to add isn’t found, press the ‘Enter’ Key to add it. ⚠️
Check the Section you wish to add
Click ‘Update’
How do I add Flags?
To add or edit Flags, follow the directions below.
Open the asset
Navigate to the Metadata Tab within the Content Overview Panel
Click ‘Flags’ to navigate to the Flags metadata
Click in the Flags field to open the Flags dialog
Type the Flag name you want to add in the ‘Search flags…’ text field
Check the Flag you want to add
📝 To view the specific details of a Flag, hover over the name of the Flag in the Flags dialog for a concise description.
Click ‘Update’
How do I set Publication date on an article asset?
Publication date can be set within the Publish / Update dialog. To open the Publish / Update dialog, follow the directions below.
Open the asset
Click ‘Publish’ or ‘Update’ in the upper right to open the Publish / Update dialog
Click on the calendar under the ‘Publication date’ field
Select a date
Click ‘Publish’ or ‘Update’
How do I stop an asset from showing up on my website?
Update the ‘Do not publish’ option to unpublish the asset and stop it from showing on your website. The ‘Do not publish’ option can be set within the Publish / Update dialog. To Unpublish an asset, follow the directions below to enable the ‘Do not publish’ option.
Open the asset
Click ‘Publish’ or ‘Update’ in the upper right to open the Publish / Update dialog
Select the ‘Do not publish’ option
Click ‘Save’
How do I set Display Priority?
Display Priority is an integer used to set the internal ranking of an article for presentation and querying within the site. The Display Property value can be used by Query Rules within Blocks. To set Display priority, follow the directions below.
Open the asset
Navigate to the Metadata Tab within the Content Overview Panel
Click ‘Properties’ to navigate to the Properties metadata
Enter your desired Display Priority in the Display Priority field
How do I set a Teaser Image / Preview Image?
A Teaser Image is an image file associated with the Article, often used as a thumbnail or preview image on the site in blocks and search results. To set the Teaser Image, follow the directions below.
Open the asset
Navigate to the Metadata Tab within the Content Overview Panel
Click ‘Teaser Image’ to navigate to the Teaser Image metadata
Click ‘Upload’ under Teaser Image
Browse to the image you want to set
Click ‘Open’
How do I crop a Teaser Image?
Teaser images may be cropped by using the "Crop image" option. To crop the Teaser Image, follow the directions below.
Open the asset
Navigate to the Metadata Tab within the Content Overview Panel
Click ‘Teaser Image’ to navigate to the Teaser Image metadata
Click ‘Crop image’ under Teaser Image
Drag to adjust the size and location of the box around the image
📝 You can choose an aspect ratio from the 'Aspect Ratio' dropdown menu to adjust the initial size of the box surrounding the image.
Click ‘Update’
How do I edit an asset?
To edit an asset, follow the directions below.
Open the Content Management application
Use the Search Filter and/or Advanced Filters to find an existing asset
Click on the asset you want to open within the Search Results
Edit the asset as needed

How do I add media to an article asset?
The Article Toolkit Panel within the Content Management Asset Interface is where content is related and where related content is managed. It has been designed to prioritize inline images, as opposed to placing images within the Media Gallery at the top of an article, as inline images are more engaging to the reader.

To add media to an article from an existing asset, follow the directions below.
Open the asset
Click to open the Asset Library within the Article Toolkit Panel
Use the Asset Type Filter and Search to find an existing asset
Click to select the asset you want to add
Click ‘Insert Selected’ to insert the selected assets directly into the content below the current paragraph
from an external file
To add media to an article from an external file, follow the directions below.
Open the asset
Place your cursor where you want the image in the Rich Text Editor within the Article Content Panel
Press the Return key to start a new paragraph
Type ‘/’ to display the Floating Action Menu
Select the appropriate asset type under ‘Assets’
Drag your external file into the <Asset Type> Placeholder
📝 Alternately, you may click the <Asset Type> Placeholder and browse to your external file.
How do I view / see related assets?

📝 The ‘Open in new tab’ option is located in the lower right of the asset tile (in grid view) or located in the upper right of the asset tile (in list view). Clicking ‘Open in new tab’ will open the asset within a new browser tab.
How do I remove related media from an asset?
The Article Toolkit Panel within the Content Management Asset Interface is where content is related and where related content is managed.
To remove related media from an asset, follow the directions below.
Open the asset
Click to open the Relationships within the Article Toolkit Panel
Use the Relationships Filter to find a related asset
Click to select the asset(s) you want to remove
Click ‘Remove selected assets’
📝 Related assets cannot be removed while inline an article asset.
Click Confirm
How do I remove inline media from an article asset?
To remove inline related media from an article asset, follow the directions below.
Open the asset
Find the inline asset within your article
Hover over the inline asset
Click Remove
📝 Depending on the relationship type, removing the inline asset may cause the related asset to appear either in the Media Gallery or Additional Content field. See Article Content Fields for additional information on the Media Gallery and Additional Content.

How do I preview an asset?
While updating article content within the Asset Interface, an editor may want to see what the article content will look like on their site.
To preview an asset, follow the directions below.
Open the asset
Click ‘Live View / Preview’ (the ‘eye’ icon)
Select either ‘Live View’ or ‘Preview’ to open a new browser tab with the preview
The ‘Live View’ option will display the article exactly as it will appear on the live site and will reflect all formatting, layout, and media elements, allowing editors to verify the final presentation from a reader’s perspective. The ‘Preview’ option allows editors to view the article in a preview mode, helping editors identify and resolve any issues with article content or layout before the article goes live or during the draft revision process. How do I delete an asset?
Delete is not yet supported, follow the directions below to delete an asset via the Legacy BLOX CMS Admin.
Click to Open the Bento Navigation menu in the upper left
Select ‘Legacy BLOX CMS Admin’
Navigate to Editorial Assets (Select Editorial > Assets from the main menu)
Search to find the asset you want to delete
Right click on the asset you want to delete
Select ‘Delete’
How do I duplicate an asset?
Duplicate is not yet supported, follow the directions below to delete an asset via the Legacy BLOX CMS Admin.
