Recurring payments requires you to have a PayPal PayFlow Pro Merchant account. Contact your Regional Sales Rep for account set up information.
Once you have your PayPal account set up, follow the steps below to set up recurring payments.
From the Application Settings in the upper left corner of Subscription Manager, choose the subscription service you want to make recurring and select Edit. If the recurring payments are to be on a New service, select the New button.
The Edit service window will open. Under the Configure panel you can set the Recurring Payments value to Yes to enable recurring payments. You can also select the value for Force Recurring Payments.
The associated PayPal account must allow reference transactions when recurring payments are turned on.
If you edit an existing Subscription service that has recurring payments and change the purchase rate(s), existing transactions that reach their renewal date with that recurring transaction, will automatically transition to the new rate. To change the rate for an existing service, do the following:
- Create a New Rate for the Subscription Service (Marketplace / AdOwl / Application Settings / Rates Table / New).
- Set a Transition Date for the new rate to be applied on the New Rate you created.
- Set an Expiration Date for the existing rate to end.
- Open the Subscription Service you are changing the rates on and apply the New Rate.
- The new rate is automatically applied when an existing user renews or when a new subscriber signs up.
Note: You cannot edit an existing Rate.
The customer will see the Recurring Payment checkbox in their user dashboard when subscribing to the service. Clicking on the checkbox will make the transaction recurring.
If you set the Force Recurring Payments value to Yes under Configure, the Recurring Transaction checkbox will not appear as the recurrence will be forced by BLOX.
