View or Edit a Transaction
To edit an existing transaction you can either double click on it or select it and choose the View button in the upper right corner of the main panel. This will bring up the View subscription window.
Subscription
The Subscription lists the details of the transaction.
- Service - the name of the service that was signed up for.
- User - this field will show the user associated with this transaction. Clicking view will bring up the Edit user account screen for that user. For more information on this screen, view User Accounts Workspace.
- Start - the date in which the first transaction began and the service started.
- Expire - the date in which the service is set to expire. This can be adjusted by clicking on the calendar icon to the right of the field or you can select Never (until further notice) to have it never expire.
- Cancel- Users with canceled transactions will continue to be granted access until their expired date, but they will not auto-renew. Existing cancelation reasons will continue to be applied automatically by the system for credit card renewal failure. Clicking this button will open a dialog box with a dropdown of cancel reasons and a free-form notes field.
Service Fields
Service Fields allows recurring transactions to be set up. Fields in this tab will vary depending on the type of transaction and your publication's preferences.
History
The History tab shows the history of the transaction. The three columns of information that are recorded are Time, Screen Name, and Action.
- Time - the date and time of the transaction.
- Screen Name - the screen name of the user.
- Action - what action took place, and the details of that action.
Below is an example of what a transaction history might look like. The first entry is when the transaction first took place. Changes to the service, such as a refund or change of duration, will be recorded in the history.
Transaction
In the example below, you will notice that a Transaction displays. This will only display if a Subscription Service type is being used. The Transaction tab will display all of the details of the transaction.
For transactions that originally involved a monetary transfer using the Subscription service type, there is an option to refund the order using the Refund button under Transactions. For more information see Subscription Workspace - Refund a Transaction.
Note: You cannot refund transactions with the PGP service type. Only the Subscription service type allows refunds.
