To enable two-factor authentication on a BLOX CMS admin account, you must log into their account, and go to the user options in the top-right corner of the admin, and then click on “Account.”
The admin will be presented with this “Account” panel, which has the option of setting up two-factor authentication at the bottom.
Once the two-factor set up is initiated, the instructional text is shown. This allows the user to set up a number of two-factor methods, such as using a Google or Microsoft authentication app.
Once that is set up (installed on your phone or browser), you can click on proceed. This will then present you with either a QR code or a key which can be entered into the authentication app.
Enter the key, you will see a message that you have been authenticated and that the next time you log in you will be challenged with the two-factor authentication method.
Troubleshooting two-factor authentication
If you have problems with their two-factor authentication, you can contact TownNews directly to have two-factor authentication disabled. This may also be required if you lose the method of second authentication (such as if you get a new phone).
You would then need to re-create the process to establish two-factor authentication on the account.
