Setting up Google Analytics 4 for Mobile NX
1. Log in to the Firebase property attached to your app
2. Click the gear icon on the left side (next to "Project Overview") then "Project settings"
4. You should see “Google Analytics” as the first option. If the button reads “Enable” then proceed to step 5. If the button reads “Manage” then skip to step 11.
5. Click “Enable” and you should be prompted to select a Google Analytics Account. You will need to select the Google Analytics account containing your existing UA account.
6. Once an account is selected it should read “Automatically create a new property in this account.” If you have not created a GA4 property for your site then you can proceed forward. If you have created a GA4 property for your site then you will want to select it by clicking the pencil icon.
7. Select existing property: From the dropdown find and select the existing GA4 property for your site. This will add the apps as data streams to your property.
8. Click “Enable Google Analytics” to link the apps.
9. To complete the connection click “Finish.” The apps are already configured to use GA4 so no other steps are required. Data should start flowing to your GA4 property shortly after connection.
10. After clicking “Finish” you will be taken to the Google Analytics management screen. This will show all of your apps within the Firebase account. These are the data streams flowing to your connected GA4 property.
11. If you wish to connect your apps to another GA4 account and instance click the 3 dots on the right side of the top view then click “Unlink Analytics from this project.”
12. To connect a new account follow steps 5 - 10.
