In 2025 BLOX Digital partnered with Whiz to power BLOX CTV apps. This article includes common questions as part of the transition to Whiz.
Where are content categories managed now?
Categories are at this time still managed in the BLOX OTT admin. Please use the Menu tab only, for Roku, Fire, and AppleTV. All categories in the Menu section will now display on the CTV app main page. There is not a separate Menu section separate from the app main page anymore.
Most of the rest of the BLOX OTT admin is now deprecated for those platforms.
The new design allows for analytics to now record direct to your own managed Google Analytics accounts instead of BLOX-managed accounts. Please submit a support ticket and we will connect you with resources to enable that setup if needed. Please see our documentation on Whiz analytics.
Pre-roll ads are still supported, and good news, we are expanding our abilities to do category-specific pre-rolls. If you want to do a category-specific pre-roll ad and you are on the BLOX YieldUp program please submit a support request to our ad ops team.
Can I still change out CTV app logos/icons and splash screens if ever needed?
Yes. Please contact Whiz support directly to update graphics.
I have a GoogleTV app. Will AndroidTV/GoogleTV receive the updated design?
At this time the design will remain unchanged for any published AndroidTV/GoogleTV apps. You can still use the prelaunch tab in OTT admin to manage display of content on the home page for AndroidTV/GoogleTV as was done previously.
