Finding your way around BLOX CMS
There are a lot of moving parts to BLOX CMS, but you'll find that the interface is presented in a consistent, user-friendly way. Each application within BLOX share a consistent look and feel. Search functions, application settings and asset workspace are all consistent throughout.
News & Updates
The News & Updates page (or BLOX CMS Desktop) is the landing page BLOX admins see upon successful login. This page features information relating to the latest software and template releases, service information, links to helpful webinars and case studies and other helpful information.
BLOX CMS menu
The BLOX CMS application menu is located in the upper left-hand corner of the BLOX admin. This menu lists the applications and settings that are currently available. The menu can be kept open (or pinned) to the window by selecting the pushpin icon within the menu.
Active Site
For BLOX admins who manage multiple BLOX CMS sites, the Active Site option is used to toggle between BLOX admins.
BLOX Admin User Preferences
The User Preferences menu is located in the upper right-hand corner of the BLOX admin and can be accessed by selecting the down arrow following the "Logged in as" email address.
Search Terms
Many applications within BLOX feature a set of advanced search tools, located in the right side of the BLOX application.
Saved Searches
Applications within BLOX that feature a search panel also offer a Saved Searches option. Saved searches are convenient for saving frequent search queries for future searching.
Search Results
Many applications within BLOX that feature a search panel will present results within the primary BLOX workspace.
Paging Search Tools
Applications within BLOX that feature a search panel also offer paging search tools for advancing search results at the bottom of the interface.
Application Settings
Many applications within BLOX feature a set of advanced configuration settings and options located within the Application Settings panel, located in the upper right-hand corner of the BLOX admin as a gear icon. These settings have been uniquely configured to your site through the build process, but the panel is intended to be future-proof and allow changes to the configuration when needed.
WYSIWYG Editor
Applications within BLOX that utilize a text editor include a set of WYSIWYG text tools. Short for "what you see is what you get", WYSIWYG formatting options include text, paragraph, table, Twitter and other formatting/embedding options.
Multi-tab Support
Since BLOX CMS is web-based, multiple BLOX applications can be used at once within it's respective tab.
