To leverage the benefits of Google Native Ads within the "Card: Grid" block of your website, please follow the instructions below.
Step 1: Adding the "Card: Grid" Block
- On your content management platform, locate the section to add new blocks to your page.
- Choose the "Card: Grid" block from the list of available blocks.
- Add this block to your page, placing it in the desired position.
Step 2: Configuring Google Ad Manager Advertising Properties
Within the "Card: Grid" block, find the section named "Google Ad Manager Advertising."
Fill in the properties as follows:
- Ad Unit: Enter the ad unit path provided by Google Ad Manager. This should be a string similar to
/132916964/yourdomain.com/section
. Replace yourdomain.com/section
with your website's domain and the specific section where you want the ad to appear. - Ad Interval: This field defines how frequently ads should appear within your content. Fill this out if applicable.
- Include Custom Targeting Keyword (pos): If you have specific targeting keywords, enter them here.
- Insert Native Ad After Last Item: Set this to "Enabled" to ensure that a native ad appears after the last content item within the grid.
Step 3: Setting Layout Block Properties
Navigate to the "Layout" properties section of your "Card: Grid" block.
Set the "Display Mode" to "Grid" to ensure that the content is presented in a grid format.
To match the native ad style, set the "Card Background Color" to #fff
(white).
- While this color configuration is not mandatory, it is recommended to maintain a consistent look and feel with the native ads configured in Google Ad Manager (GAM).
Additional Customizations and Support
- Depending on your website's design, further customizations to the Native Ad unit within GAM may be necessary to match the exact styles of your site. To update styling and enable this setting in GAM navigate to Inventory -> Native -> Native Styles
- If you are a participant in the YieldUp program, you can request our solutions support to assist with these updates. Ad units will need to be added to the applicable Native template in GAM.
By following these steps, you should be able to seamlessly integrate Google Native Ads into the "Card: Grid" block on your site, enhancing user experience and potentially increasing ad revenue. If you encounter any issues or have specific needs, please consult the documentation provided by Google Ad Manager or reach out to customer support for assistance.
