A business' Featured Priority Level sets two main items with BLOX.
First, the featured number will determine the order in which the business is shown, typically the higher number appearing first (a business with 93 will appear before one with 77). This is used in searches, as well as displays within blocks.
Second, the featured number will set what upsells the business is eligible for. Most sites sell their listings on a tiered-based pricing system. Depending on the package chosen, a number will be assigned to that business, then that number is used to determine how many of an upsell a business is entitle to.
For example, a site offers three tiers of pricing. In the lowest tier a business is assigned a featured level of 5 and they have the ability to upload one photo. In the middle tier, the business is assigned a featured level of 25 and they can upload 10 photos. In the upper tier a business is assigned a featured level of 75 and can upload 35 photos.
