What is Google?
Google settings are where Google Universal Analytics (UA), Google Tag Manager and Google AMP Tracking IDs are set for your BLOX site.
Web Tracking
Web tracking is disabled by default, but can be enabled here.
Universal Analytics (UA) has been recently sunset by Google and sites will need to enter their updated GA4 ID in this panel to maintain traffic collection.
For sites using Google Google Tag Manager, set your Google Tag Manager ID. Google Universal Analytics code will need to be set up through your GTM account when using this setting.
For sites using GA4, set your GA4 ID.
AMP Tracking
AMP tracking is disabled by default, but can be enabled here.
For sites using Google Google Tag Manager, set your Google Tag Manager ID. Google Universal Analytics code will need to be set up through your GTM account when using this setting.
Google Tag Manager (GTM)
This new implementation for GTM is part of a strategic shift to leverage the power of the GTM Data layer to make all relevant data available for use through GTM in any way our partners desire.
If you use "Google" settings to setup your GTM account, you are:
- Responsible for setting up your Google Analytics Tags in GTM.
- Responsible for setting up any Google Analytics Events that are previously being logged directly to Google Analytics From BLOX CMS. These include the following:
- Video Events
- Social Media Events
- Metering Events
- Gallery Virtual Page Events
