MacOS 10.15 (Catalina) removes compatibility for Adobe Creative Suite CS5 and CS 5.5 and CS6 versions

  • Updated

In early October, 2019, Apple released the MacOS 10.15 version of the OS (Catalina) which is the version of the OS that will ship with future Macintoshes. Thus, if you have to buy a new computer for a user, you will have to use Catalina.

However, Catalina doesn't support 32 bit applications like legacy Adobe InDesign CS5, CS 5.5 and CS6. Thus, your operation would be reliant on both equipment and software that can no longer be purchased if your organization is still using Creative Suite.
