Minor Multi-document Close All Change) We modified the use of BLOX Total CMS > Documents > Close All... for Distributed Production users so that they would not see dialogs upon closing unless the document was a _BU document that hadn’t been used with BLOX Total CMS > Documents > Advertising > Create Pages... or its equivalent. Distributed Production and Cross Domain Clone) Client version 5.69 added the ability to clone the assets from a source document in one domain to another via site tag syndication. Once the assets reach the other domain, a user could complete the clone process to a page in the destination domain using functionality similar to Clone and Move. Unfortunately, for Distributed Production users, the functionality displayed a warning message and failed to reopen the Source Document. The Source Document cannot be reopened because it belongs to another domain. But the confusing warning has been removed. INDESIGN-4409
e-Edition Page Number Correction for Multipage Distributed Production documents) We had a report from one site that a multipage document would occasionally send the wrong PDF to Live e-Editions. We found a case when checking in the document after output that the page number sent to Page Tracker was the page number matching the document name. This has been corrected. INDESIGN-4434
Translation Support for NXT Comment Streams) Content Streams from BLOX NXT can now be preserved in BLOX Total CMS-based Adobe InDesign documents. Support requires a ruleset change that BLOX Digital can assist with. Write-back, after the ruleset change, is automatic. In addition, the 5.77 version of the BLOX Total CMS client for Adobe InDesign removes BLOX NXT injected rel tags from asset-based hyperlinks. A future version of BLOX NXT will also be doing that. Change to Page Tracker Output) Client 5.76.00 introduced a problem with output when using BLOX Total CMS > Documents > Output > to a menu group and method that outputs a multipage document to Page Tracker. If the user chooses to skip the output of one or more pages, an internal error is thrown, and output halts. This affects both Distributed Production and Normal users. But it only affected the output to Page Tracker. Unfortunately, for sites using Live e-Edition, this could have the adverse effect of not sending the pages to e-Edition. Users were alerted that output for print and e-Editions could be done manually, but that’s not a reasonable workflow. This has been corrected. You can now safely output a partial document. By the way, output options some years ago provided outputting a document with unique names, presets, and export folders based on the page’s color. So if you’re exporting a front using one method and jump pages via another method, you’re wasting time. We can automate that. Please file a support request at support.bloxdigital.com INDESIGN-4439
Advertising Enhanced Mode Forced for Remote Distributed Production Users) The Enhanced Mode option is now forced on users logging in using a Remote mode for Distributed Production. This prevents users from accidentally creating an edition of pages for Distributed Production without being in Enhanced Mode. INDESIGN-4444
Preventing Distributed Production Check In of Multipage Documents not created with Combine Pages) Client version 5.66 added support for Distributed Production users to Combine Pages to allow for multipage documents. At that time, we prevented using BLOX Total CMS > Documents > Check In... and BLOX Total CMS > Documents > Save Revision... with a multipage document unless the document was created using Combine Pages. Unfortunately, we allowed users to close documents, which triggers the Check In process. And the later use of BLOX Total CMS > Documents > Check In All... was also permitted. Now, Check In All... is no longer permitted for a multipage document unless it was created with Combine Pages... And you can no longer close a rogue multipage document. You will need to delete the extra pages to close it. INDESIGN-4444
Template Master Spawn Template now removes Hyperlink Destinations) While adding support for BLOX NXT Comment Streams, we noticed that while the Spawn Template function removes Hyperlinks, it didn’t remove the hyperlink destinations. It now does. This can make a slightly smaller template file and improve translation performance for repeat hyperlinks. INDESIGN-4446

Support for Ads named with UUIDs) We now support ads being named with UUIDs instead of the more common naming structures. This will allow sites using the Ad Force X plug-in to place ads on BLOX Total CMS pages and have segmentation of those pages successfully sent to Page Tracker for wireframes and subsequent upload to Live e-Editions. Output Validate Name for BW pages in a output corrected) If you specified a custom name for output using the function and a <validateName_BW> option in your Output Preferences XML file, it would have been ignored before now. The Output function can name and export black and white and color pages uniquely. Distributed Production New Document Change for Pages with Budgeted Assets) The BLOX Total CMS > Documents > New… function has never allowed the user to create pages when the page exists. This extended to pages existing in Page Tracker too. However, if the user is logged in via a Remote Distributed Production Mode, we now require that Page Tracker have an uploaded .zip of the page before blocking the page’s creation. This allows users to create pages with budgeted assets. Page Tracker creates a page that previously prevented the page from being created in Adobe InDesign using BLOX Total CMS > Documents > New... Now the client requires Page Tracker to have an uploaded version of the page before it prevents the page from being built. INDESIGN-4429
Page Content Type Snippet Placement with Snippets from the BLOX Total CMS Plug-in Behavior Change) Client version 5.73, released in late 2024, added a change for Automated Production to simplify the management of Page Content Type snippets when Automated Production was enabled and the site was using the BLOX Total CMS Plug-in for Adobe InDesign to export and manage snippets. That change has now been modified to work without having Automated Production enabled. If a site exports Page Design snippets with one or more Publication Codes, and are named with the full or partial name of a Page Content Type, then those snippets are considered a Page Content Type snippet. Those will be placed automatically when assigning Page Content Types to Pages via the Create Edition or BLOX Total CMS > Documents > New… functions. INDESIGN-4430
