Your organization has default format(s) to which all uploaded videos are transcoded. All videos are output to .mp4. You are able to specify a pixel height (240, 360, 576, 720, or 1080).
Different output sizes are important depending on your needs. For example, you may want a 360px height video for best playback on tablet devices such as the iPad but want a 240px video for smaller mobile devices. Or, if you are interested in transcoding to web HD, the 720px or 1080px sizes may be appealing.
The formats can be changed on a per-video basis. When creating a new video item, click the Change button underneath the file upload window on the right. This opens a popup with available file formats. Select the format to which you’d like to transcode your file.
You can also add additional formats to an existing video item. When editing an existing item, you can see the formats that have been transcoded or are in progress at the top left. You can start additional transcodes by clicking the Add button and selecting additional formats.
