In this release of BLOX CMS (version 1.92.0), we're expanding social media publishing capabilities with the addition of Bluesky as an outgoing Notifier channel, adding WebP image upload support throughout the system, introducing URL title locking to help protect article URLs after first publish, and resolving a number of bugs related to user account sync, asset indexing, and content management workflows.
Features & Improvements
Bluesky Support in Notifier
Sites can now connect a Bluesky account and publish content to Bluesky through Notifier's automated channels or via the Notifier panel on individual assets. Posts are sent as webcards containing an image, text, and a link back to your site. (TNCMS-556072)
Bluesky Notifier Message Search Pagination
Improvements have been made to ensure that paging works correctly when searching messages through the Notifier API, returning accurate and consistent results across pages. (TNCMS-556313)
WebP Image Upload Support
BLOX CMS now supports uploading WebP format images throughout the system, including the media library, block templates, page customizations, and anywhere else image uploads are supported. The system stores the original WebP file and handles format compatibility automatically through the CDN, which converts images to the optimal format based on each visitor's browser. Important note for TotalCMS (print) customers: If you plan to use WebP images in print workflows, you must be running InDesign version 18 or later, as earlier versions do not support WebP. If you are using an older version of InDesign, you will need to manually convert WebP images to JPEG before using them in print production. (TNCMS-6647)
Lock URL Title at First Publish via Automations
A new URL Title transformation option is now available in the Automations tool, allowing customers to lock an article's URL title at the time of first publish and prevent it from changing when the headline is updated post-publication. To use it, create or edit an Automation with any filter criteria (such as Asset Type = Article), then add a Transformation of type "URL Title" and choose from four source options: Copy from Web Title, Copy from Print Headline, Copy from SEO Title, or Copy from Slug. Bugs
Fixed an issue where changes to an admin user's site access did not immediately sync to sibling datacenters, requiring up to an hour for the change to take effect. (TNCMS-556046)
Fixed an issue where uploading certain MP4 files to a collection resulted in a network error and the video failed to upload. (TNCMS-556218)
Fixed an issue where the custom dashboard and widget search query parameter returned an error instead of results, and where special characters in search queries could cause additional errors. (TNCMS-556288)
Fixed an issue where the "Automatically Updated Account Details" setting for authentication providers (such as Apple ID and Facebook) was not retained after saving. (TNCMS-556321)
Fixed an issue where the asset revision log incorrectly replaced plus signs with spaces in user email addresses and screen names, preventing the system from retrieving the correct user details. (TNCMS-556335)
Fixed an issue where OpenAI failed to list available MCP tools (beta) due to a missing response handler for resource listing requests during the connection handshake. (TNCMS-556345)
Fixed an issue where draft-only related assets were not displayed in the legacy admin's editorial asset editor. (TNCMS-556346)
