In this release of BLOX Mobile App Manager (version 0.21.0), we have reorganized the interface to make fields easier to use and more logically placed. Additionally, we are adding many new fields in preparation for the next two app releases.
For BLOX Mobile NX apps with login turned off, please ensure to check the underline note below for an important notice.
FEATURES and IMPROVEMENTS
A new field called ‘Author box position’ has been added under ‘Article Detail Settings’ on the ‘Customization’ Tab. This will allow app managers to control where author boxes will appear within an article. For additional details, see BLOX Mobile NX - Author Box. (APPMAN-247)
The ‘Configuration’ tab has been reorganized to group related fields together. New fields for privacy URLs have been added. These fields will be used in an upcoming app release. (APPMAN-333)
The upload field for a Google Firebase notification service account has been moved from the ‘Configuration’ tab to the ‘Engagement’ tab. (APPMAN-335)
Additional options have been added to the ‘Action occurs’ field for a review prompt (under ‘Prompts’ in the ‘Engagement’ tab). Please note these are currently not supported and will be enabled in a future app release. (APPMAN-364)
An upload field titled ‘Default image’ has been added to the ‘Block Card Settings’ section of the ‘Customization’ tab. This field will be used in an upcoming app release. Until then, fields in the ‘Page Customizations’ settings within ‘Design/Blocks’ should be used.(APPMAN-370)
A new tab called ‘Configuration’ has been added. This contains two sections: Weather, and Livestream Banner. These fields will be used in an upcoming app release. Until then, the fields under ‘Weather’ and ‘Live stream banner’ in the ‘Page Customizations’ settings within ‘Design/Blocks’ should be used. (APPMAN-406)
A section called ‘For You Ad Settings’ has been added to the ‘Monetization’ tab. This field will be used in an upcoming app release. (APPMAN-410)
The app/config and app/profile webservices will return an empty object {} when no experimental settings are present. (APPMAN-435)
A new toggle called ‘Disable Login’ has been added to the ‘General Settings’ of the ‘Customization’ tab. This field depreciates an old experimental setting. Apps using this experimental setting will need to turn on the toggle prior to app release to continue hiding login. (APPMAN-441)
This release also makes minor infrastructure changes that should not be noticeable to admin or front-end users.
