In this release of BLOX Mobile App Manager, we're introducing the ability to change tab bar icons, and migrating additional configuration fields into AppMan. App managers can now exclude assets from search results based on section and keyword tags.
Please note: Apple has released their quarterly account agreements. Until accepted, we are unable to update your apps to the latest version. Please log in as the account owner at and accept the latest agreements. The following link will provide instructions on how to find and accept the new agreements:
- Under "Section Settings" in "Customization," a new field has been added called "Table header fill color" to allow app managers to modify the header cell fill color. (APPMAN-284)
- Under "Configuration," a new section called "Livestream banner" to allow app managers to manage and customize their livestream banner, shown on the home tab view. For new setups, this is the preferred method. Livestream banners set up in Design/Blocks will continue to work as expected without additional configuration. (APPMAN-336)
- Under "Search Settings" in "Customization," app managers can now exclude assets from search results based on section and keyword tags. (APPMAN-405)
- The "Universal Linking" section in "Engagement," has been modified to support article and section overrides for more flexibility. This change is currently only supported by the Android version of BLOX Mobile NX on app version 217.0. This change also allows for app managers to disable this feature completely. (APPMAN-424)
- App managers can now customize the tab bar icons within their app. Icons can be chosen from our pre-selected library. Custom icons are not supported. Please note, only app users on the latest app version will see these icons. (APPMAN-426)
- App managers can now manage the global sticky ad placements from AppMan under the "Monetization" tab. If per-section overrides are needed the legacy Design/Blocks should be used. (APPMAN-444)
- A wizard will now appear when creating a new app profile. This wizard will require basic information and the Firebase service account be provided before the profile is created. (APPMAN-452)
- App managers can now manage the interstitial ad unit shown between article views from AppMan. (APPMAN-461)
- A bug was identified when dragging topics under the Personalization tab the ordering of items would become jumbled. This has been resolved and dragging topics will not change the order of the others. (APPMAN-121)
- From all image upload fields, a remove button has been added to remove any selected images from the media library. (APPMAN-465)
- If a profile is disabled it will no longer show in the "Profile" dropdown on the left panel. (APPMAN-468)
- The "Article Detail Header ad unit" field will always be shown in the "Monetization" tab for BLOX Mobile NX app managers. (APPMAN-476)
- The "e-Edition Settings" section will always be shown in the "Customization" tab for BLOX Mobile NX app managers. (APPMAN-480
This release also makes minor infrastructure changes that should not be noticeable to admin or front-end users.
