In this release of BLOX Syndication, we have updated the AP Image byline formatting and added BLOX VMS channel importer support for a “Delete imported assets after…” setting.
We've updated AP image byline formatting to remove photographer titles, following customer feedback. The new format displays "<photographer name> - <info source>", ensuring cleaner bylines while maintaining attribution. If no photographer name is available, only the info source will be displayed. These changes apply primarily to images, with no modifications to standard AP article bylines. (SYNDICATE-553269)
BLOX VMS (Field59) channel importers now support a "Delete imported assets after..." setting, allowing partners to automatically remove imported videos based on a set timeframe. This prevents empty video assets remaining on BLOX CMS after deletion from VMS, improving Google Search indexing and reducing clutter from full newscasts with limited long-term value. (SYNDICATE-553226)
This release also makes minor infrastructure changes that should not be noticeable to admin or front-end users.
