In this release of the BLOX Total CMS Client (version 5.77), we've made improvements to Distributed Production, output naming, and NXT Comment Stream integration, as well as fixed several bugs to enhance system stability and workflow efficiency. We also added support for ads named with UUIDs.
- Improved Page Content Type Snippet Placement: Snippets that match Page Content Type names can now be automatically placed even if Automated Production is not enabled. (INDESIGN-4430)
- Support for BLOX NXT Comment Streams: Comment Streams from BLOX NXT can now be preserved in Adobe InDesign documents. Requires a ruleset update, which BLOX Digital can assist with. Additionally, injected rel tags are now removed from asset hyperlinks. (INDESIGN-4438)
- Cross-Domain Clone for Distributed Production: Improved experience when cloning assets across domains—confusing warning messages have been removed. (INDESIGN-4409)
- New Document Support for Pages with Budgeted Assets: Remote Distributed Production users can now create new pages as long as Page Tracker has an uploaded .zip of the page, even if the page already exists in Page Tracker. (INDESIGN-4429)
- Support for Ads Named with UUIDs: Ads using UUID-based naming (e.g., from Ad Force X plug-in) are now supported for placement and Page Tracker output. (INDESIGN-4421)
- Output Naming Improvements: Custom output names for black & white pages (using <validateName_BW>) are now properly respected. (INDESIGN-4423)
- Template Cleanup Enhancement: The “Spawn Template” function now removes unused hyperlink destinations for cleaner template files and better performance. (INDESIGN-4446)
- Enhanced Mode Enforced for Remote Users: Users in Remote Distributed Production mode are now automatically placed in Enhanced Mode to prevent edition creation errors. (INDESIGN-4444)
- Smarter “Close All” Behavior: For Distributed Production, using “Close All” will now suppress unnecessary dialogs unless the document is a _BU file not created via approved ad page creation functions. (INDESIGN-4444)
- Distributed Production Check-In Restrictions: Users can no longer check in or close multipage documents unless they were created using the “Combine Pages” function. This prevents unintended behavior. (INDESIGN-4444)
- Partial Output to Page Tracker Fixed: A bug introduced in 5.76 that caused failures when outputting a partial multipage document to Page Tracker has been fixed. This correction ensures reliable print and e-Edition delivery. (INDESIGN-4439)
- e-Edition Page Number Accuracy: Corrected a rare case where the wrong page number was sent to Live e-Editions from multipage documents. (INDESIGN-4434)
- Fix for Closing Documents with Invalid Ads: An error that occurred when closing documents containing ads with IDs resembling BLOX Assets has been resolved. (INDESIGN-4444)
