In this version of BLOX Total CMS InDesign Client (5.80.00), we’ve fixed issues and improved BLOX NXT compatibility.
- Updates were made to the Combine Pages function when Non-BLOX Total CMS documents are open. When choosing BLOX Total CMS > Documents > Page Management > Combine Pages..., the InDesign BLOX Total CMS client will now first check for any open documents that don’t match the current page naming convention and halt the process if there are any. [INDESIGN-4437]
- We have improved the output-based Check-In Assets Modification process. Client version 5.75 introduced a change that allowed missing links to be recreated within InDesign. This was needed because editing assets in the browser while the InDesign document was closed caused the links to be missing when opening the document. Unfortunately, this process recreated more links than needed, and cause more errors as a result. Now only missing links caused by the browser-based edits will be recreated. [INDESIGN-4476]
- An Auto Image Export issue was resolved when opening BLOX Total CMS documents and immediately placing image assets. If the page wasn’t marked as being Color or B & W, when the user was prompted to select the page’s color, a delay will no longer cause the auto image export for toning to silently fail. [INDESIGN-4480]
- To maintain compatibility with BLOX NXT, we revised Distributed Production’s Metadata formats. Both the package metadata and the link information are now written in a different format.
- WARNING: If you’re a Distributed Production site, you need to upgrade the client versions at the same time. Clients running versions before 5.80 may encounter an error when attempting to read files produced by clients running version 5.80 or later. If a remote user only works on pages they create, no errors will be generated. If remote users build pages and in-office users output pages, update the in-office users first. [INDESIGN-4475]
