In this release of BLOX Weather, we have made a couple of bug fixes including one related to city names and the other related to high temperature.
Addressed an issue where incorrect or outdated city names were being returned for certain ZIP codes in the Weather API. The issue stemmed from an outdated city name data source. The system has been updated to use a more accurate provider, ensuring correct mappings for ZIP codes, particularly in areas with multiple associated city names. (WEATHER-544126)
- Resolved an issue where the high temperature for the first day of a forecast displayed incorrectly during the latter half of the day. The fix involves implementing a more reliable data source from NOAA's API, utilizing the
isDaytime property to accurately determine daytime high temperatures. A logging mechanism has been added to the development environment to monitor API responses and ensure forecast accuracy. (WEATHER-544119)
This release also makes minor infrastructure changes that should not be noticeable to admin or front-end users.
