In this release of BLOX Flex Templates (version 3.277.0), we’re making account forms smoother for readers with invisible reCAPTCHA, adding more sizes to the Cube ad creative template, and making a round of accessibility improvements across paywall and signup forms.
Features & Improvements
Invisible reCAPTCHA on account-related forms
The User Registration, Instant Login, and Forgot Password forms in the Users app now use invisible reCAPTCHA. Most readers will no longer see a reCAPTCHA challenge when creating an account, logging in, or resetting a password, while unusual traffic is still verified. If verification fails, readers see a clear error message and can try again. (FLEXBLOX-10877, FLEXBLOX-10878, FLEXBLOX-10879)
More Ad Sizes for the Cube Google Ad Manager Creative Template
The Cube creative template now supports additional ad sizes. In addition to 300x250, you can now use 300x600 ads that rotate left or right, and 970x250 and 728x90 ads that rotate top to bottom or bottom to top. (FLEXBLOX-10827)
Accessibility improvements to paywall and related forms
Paywall and related forms now include improved labeling and alternative text to help readers using screen readers. Form fields in the paywall (including the promo code and purchase form fields) and reCAPTCHA response fields now include proper labels, an empty heading on the access offers screen has been removed, and credit-card icons on the paywall purchase screen now include descriptive alt text so screen readers can announce accepted card types. Delivery Address Fields Disabled When Not Needed on Single Page Purchase
On the Single Page Purchase form, hidden delivery address fields are now disabled when the subscription being purchased doesn’t require a delivery address. (FLEXBLOX-10876)
Bugs
Fixed an issue where the email field and mailing list checkbox in the Utility: Promo Designer block were missing labels for screen readers. (FLEXBLOX-10873)
