1. What is the Change Next Rate button?
    Change Next Rate is a new function in BLOX Subscription that allows customer service representatives to move a subscriber to a different rate/price/term in the admin.

  2. Why should I use the Change Next Rate button?
    The Change Next Rate button can save time for customer service teams. When a subscriber calls and wants to take advantage of a different offer, they can now be moved to a different rate/price/term within the same service, instead of having to cancel and restart the subscriber.

  1. Why is the button grayed out?
    The Change Next Rate button is only available to Audience+ partners with Premium Credit Card Management (Wallet) and 1-page purchase, and it is only available for auto-renewing Subscription-type services. Subscription Pro and Blox Audience partners will need to upgrade to get this feature, Add a card, and more. Reach out to your sales rep or submit a support ticket.

  2. Can I move a subscriber to a different Service?
    No. The subscriber can only be moved to a different rate within the same Service. If a subscriber absolutely has to be switched to a different service, the subscription will need to be canceled and restarted.

  3. Does this work for 3rd-party circulation systems?
    No. This workflow only applies to Subscription-type services, where the transactions go through BLOX.

  4. When subscribers move to a different rate, is the change immediate? Is their rate prorated?
    No. The new rate/price becomes effective on their next renewal.

  5. Do I need Audience+ to take advantage of this feature?
    Yes. If you don’t have Audience+, you will need to upgrade from Subscriptions Pro or BLOX Audience. Contact your sales rep or submit a support ticket and our customer service team will be happy to help you.
