Targeting Former Subscribers in Audiences
Introduction
BLOX Audience+ can now identify Former Subscribers dynamically, giving you the ability to orchestrate a separate journey just for them. You can display a customized “Win-back” offer to this group and give them a special paywall limit, such as a hard paywall.
This new audience is defined as logged-in users who had a subscription in the past, but it expired/canceled.
BLOX Audience+ dynamically evaluates the user’s status against Subscription records and the other rules that are established. This powerful new audience is exclusively available to Audience+ partners.
Setup
To setup targeting for Former Subscribers, first identify the Service and Rate you will be using, next create Formers Access criteria, and lastly create a new dynamic Access Rule.
Identify the Service and Rate
Navigate to BLOX Subscription (the ‘Subscription’ application in the upper left menu under ‘Community’)
Identify the Service and Rate you will be using to attract Formers to re-subscribe
Create the Formers Access criteria
As described in step 5 of create the formers access criteria, the New Access criteria menu highlighting the ‘Formers’ option.

Navigate to BLOX Access Control (the ‘Access Control’ application in the upper left menu under ‘Community’)
Click the gear in the upper right to open the application settings

Select ‘Formers’ 📝If your Access criteria dropdown is short and you do not see Formers in the list, you will need to upgrade from Blox Audience to Audience+. Blox Audience is a basic version of Access Control with limited features, but Audience+ includes Formers and dozens of dynamic, real time audiences to take your paywall to the next level.
