The Date field contains a dropdown menu from which you can select the specific type of information requested - a Date Only, Time Only, or Date and Time. You may want to use two of these fields within one fieldset and specify the Date in one field and the Time in another for ease of use on the front-end.

Always add Help text to the Date or Date/Time field showing the front-end user how you want the information to be entered. For example, "Please enter the date in a month/date/year format such as 10/27/1975".
