Poll assets are great a great way to engage with your audience. Once a poll has been voted on, in order to maintain the integrity of the poll, it can not be edited further.
How to create a Poll asset
To create a new Poll asset, within BLOX Assets select +New at the top of the Search Results panel and then select More...>Poll. This will populate the Poll (new) panel where the required information can be completed to build the asset.
Poll asset requirements
Poll asset support a wealth of options, but only require the following:
Asset title
1 Question with at least 2 Answers
Section tag
Build the asset
Question: Specify a question that you'd like your audience to respond to.
Description: Enter a description for the poll that includes the reason for the poll and how the results will be used.
Answers: Poll answers can be added by selecting +New. Specific colors can be set to represent each answer by using the color-picker tools.
Graph Type: Use the radio options to specify whether the graph is presented as a bar graph or pie graph.
Start Date/time: Use the date/time tools to specify when the poll will be available to readers.
Display Priority: The default value is null, or 0. Enter a value here to signify higher importance for the day it's published.
Tags: Within the Sections panel, select +Add and then select the URL the asset should belong to then then choose Save to build the Poll asset.
Voting Rules: A single user can only vote once per poll. The catch here is that someone who clears browsers cache or uses "incognito mode" on their browser can unlimited times.
To combat this, the system will only count one vote from a given IP address.
