How do I add a new payment handler?
To add a new payment handler, open BLOX Transactions, click the gear in the upper right to open the payment handler settings, and click +New. Within the Create payment handler window, enter a name for the payment handler. This name is what will appear within any associated transactions.
Next, select the type of payment handler and then click Continue to populate the Edit payment handler window. You'll find that both the Handler name and Driver fields have been pre-populated with your responses. Username and password fields will also be populated with the email address and password of the current BLOX admin user. These credentials are often-times not the same credentials being used to log into BLOX however and will most-likely need to be changed. Reference each configuration below:
PayPal PayFlow Pro
Username: The username of your PayPal PayFlow Pro account.
Password: The password of your PayPal PayFlow Pro account.
Partner: The name of the reseller from which the PayPal PayFlow Pro account was purchased from.
Vendor: This is the core PayPal PayFlow Pro account username. This is only required if a specific API is being used.
Currency (required): Select a currency type. This is set to United States Dollars (USD) by default.
AVS Required: Enable this open if your service requires AVS information being process to process the job.
The Address Verification System (AVS) is a system used to verify the identity of the person claiming to own the credit card. The system will check the billing address of the credit card provided by the user with the address on file at the credit card company. If using NET1 (Sage Payment Solutions) as the payment handler, this box should be checked.
Card Types: Within the Card types tab, use the drop-down option for each card type and specify if use of the card is Disallowed, Allowed or Allowed and displayed on form.
If you are using Paypal PayFlow Pro and TownNews is your partner, we can help you recover your username and password. Please contact TownNews Customer Support for this.
To make use of Payflow Pro user accounts (where the main account credentials are not being used), you must create a user account with your PayPal admin that has the role API_FULL_TRANSACTIONS assigned to it. API_FULL_TRANSACTIONS is a Paypal PayFlow Pro permissions setting which allows you to use a different Paypal User Account that does not have access permissions, to connect with BLOX Payment Handler. Additionally, that PayPal username should then be used in the BLOX payment handler 'username' field and the main PayPal username should be moved to the BLOX 'Vendor' field.
NOTE: If you are using multiple user accounts, per PayPal, you need to be using PayPal PayFlow Pro Version 2 and also have a PayPal Manager account set up.
You need to set up an account with Authorize.net to obtain credentials. For information on how to find your Authorize.net API Login ID and Transaction Key (or update your Transaction Key), Click Here.
Username: The API Login ID of your Authorize.Net account.
Password: The Transaction Key of your Authorize.Net account.
Sandbox account: Enable this option to designate the account as a Sandbox account. This allows the payment handler to be tested without completing an actual transaction.
Currency (required): Select a currency type. This is set to United States Dollars (USD) by default.
AVS Required: Enable this open if your service requires AVS information being process to process the job.
