Here's how to search for a snippet with the BLOX Total CMS client for Adobe InDesign.
There are several ways to search for snippets including checkboxes, a search field, and dropdown menus.
Checkboxes: Select the checkbox next to `Page Design`, `Design Element` or both to search for all snippet types. In order to view Favorites, check only one checkbox, either Page Design or Design Element, then check the Favorites checkbox.
Favorite snippets are added automatically after a snippet is placed more than once. They cannot be added manually.
When the Pub Code checkbox is checked, then the only snippets that will show up are those that have been exported as All (with no publication codes checked) or with the specific publication code of the active document if it is known.
Search field: Use this to search for snippets by name (e.g., UXP is typed into the search field, then all snippets that begin with UXP are displayed).
Dropdown menus: There are dropdown menus to search by `Folders`, `Recent`, and `Creator`. Search for a folder by clicking the dropdown menu next to `Folders:` and select a folder (e.g., Recently Added\UXP\). All snippets in that folder will be displayed.
The `Recent` dropdown menu filters search results by recently created snippets (e.g., 1 hour, 1 day, 7 days, etc.). Select `1 hour` to view all snippets created in the last hour.
The `Creator` dropdown menu filters search results by the account used to create the snippets. It shows the email address and username (e.g., uxptest450@gmail.com/uxptesting). Click the checkbox next to this dropdown menu to show all snippets.
What if No Snippets Match My Search Results?
If no snippets match your search results, you will see a warning message in the space where snippets display. You may have too many filters applied or you may just need to click `Update: ↺` in the top right corner. Clear your filters and start over by clicking `Reset:🛑` in the top left corner.
