YouTube can be thought of as a website and the pages with YouTube video players on them are like pages. They are not direct links to downloadable video files. It is a violation of YouTube terms of service to scrape their page to attempt to download a video asset.

2. The URL is a link to a web page

Similar as above, various other platforms may make videos available but not in a manner such that your URL is a direct link to a binary video asset. Always check that your URL ends with a .mp4, .mov, or other similar valid video file type.

3. The URL is not publicly accessible

BLOX VMS must be able to download the file via https publicly accessible internet. If the video is permissioned in any way such that authentication is required to initiate a download, BLOX VMS will not be able to successfully import the video.
