What is Category Mapping?
BLOX Classifieds uses a specific, hard-coded set of categories and subcategories. These categories can be mapped to 3rd party systems that use a different set of categories. Mapping of categories is required to insure that ads are flowing in as a one-to-one relationship.

The category map should already be set up before you go live with BLOX Classifieds, however, you might want to make small changes to the map over time.
To create a new category map, select +New. Existing maps may be edited by selecting the map and then choosing the Edit. Next, from the Edit Category map panel, the user has the ability to import or export the map.
In this window you can change the Display Name of the map and choose a Mapped To default category. The Mapped To default category will be the category that is assigned if an ad is processed through a feed and an associated category cannot be found.
To view the fields associated with a category, select the category name and choose Fields. This will open up a new window with all the fields. You can change any of the fields to have default values if desired.
