Newsletter sign up
Readers can be made aware of newsletters by featuring one of the newsletter sign up blocks throughout the page layout and then signing up by selecting the box that corresponds to each appropriate list.
Email Reach allows anyone with a valid email address to subscribe to newsletters, but it can be also configured to require that readers have and be signed into their user accounts.
There are two options for signup blocks – a simple signup block that can be used throughout the site (Utility: Email Signup), or a Newsletter Preference Center Page block (Utility: Newsletter subscription).
The “Utility: Newsletter subscription” will help your users to easily sign up for newsletters on one centralized page. It will display all of the Email Reach lists that you make available through the block settings.
The page features a grid of list information with an opt-in/opt-out toggle for each list. If a user moves the toggle to the “on” position, a pop-up appears along the bottom where users can add their email address, first name and last name.
The layout of this page includes a 3-list wide grid with list titles, list descriptions, sending frequency and a visual icon to represent each list.
The block also allows for options to require or not require user registration to sign up for newsletters.
NOTE: The recommended use for the Utility: Newsletter subscription block is in full-width regions.
Managing newsletter subscriptions in the User Dashboard
Readers can manage their lists within the User Dashboard within the Manage Lists panel.
Users can also navigate to this page from a Newsletter Preference Center block placed on any page. If the user is logged in, this block will show a “Manage Your Subscriptions” button that will direct them to this page.
This Manage Lists page in the User Dashboard uses the same display options as the Newsletter Preference Center block.
When the user account requirement isn't being used, subscribers can unsubscribe from a newsletter by selecting the SafeUnsubscribe link within the footer of the newsletter.
