A Curated Collection can be converted to a Dynamic Collection at any time. Any items that were part of the Curated Collection will automatically become pinned assets in the Dynamic Collection’s query rule set.
NOTE: Because a Dynamic Collection could contain a nearly-unlimited number of assets, the same does not hold true in the reverse.
