List View: Use the 'L' icon to select the List View
List View with Larger Preview: Use the 'P' icon for a list view with a larger more usable preview. Increasing the panel size will, to a degree, increase the Preview size.
Grid View: Use the 'G' icon to select the Grid view. This grid view has the largest preview options. In addition, as you change the dimensions of the panel in the Grid view you can get additional columns of icons.
The Preferences dialog for the BLOX Total CMS client for Adobe Photoshop is accessible through this menu option.
The 'Grid View Fields' tab of the Preferences Dialog allows you to select from the various BLOX fields to display. In general, if the asset doesn't have a value, nothing will be shown.
Grid View: This single column version of the Grid view shows some additional asset details which were selected from the 'Grid View Fields' tab of the Preferences dialog.
The search Results tab has three icons shown below that allow the user to switch between the three view modes.
Three different View Modes: The gold ring above highlights the controls for three view modes.
Icons and Meanings
L: List View
P: List View with larger previews
G: Grid View
List View
List View: Use the 'L' icon to select the List View
The list view is the default view. It allows the largest number of assets to be displayed in the smallest possible size for the BLOX Total CMS panel.
Only shows small view of the preview image, an indicator that an asset is locked, and finally the asset's slug.
List with Larger Preview
List View with Larger Preview: Use the 'P' icon for a list view with a larger more usable preview. Increasing the panel size will, to a degree, increase the Preview size.
Very similar to the default List view. This one allows the preview to be larger. And because of that, while the images are now large enough to be recognizable, the panel needs to be enlarged to see the same number of asset. Otherwise, just scroll up or down to see the assets in the current page of search results.
Grid View
Grid View: Use the 'G' icon to select the Grid view. This grid view has the largest preview options. In addition, as you change the dimensions of the panel in the Grid view you can get additional columns of icons.
Grid view can show the largest previews.
However, you will likely have to remove the panel from the dock of panels in Adobe Photoshop and considerable widen the panel to most the most of its large previews. This view is awesome if you have multiple monitors and can leave the BLOX Total CMS panel on a secondary monitor.
Unlike the two list views, the Grid view can be configured to show more information.
To do that choose 'Preferences' from the BLOX Total CMS panel's drop down menu as shown below:
The Preferences dialog for the BLOX Total CMS client for Adobe Photoshop is accessible through this menu option.
When the 'Preferences' dialog opens, click the tab for 'Grid View'. That will display the following type of interface:
The 'Grid View Fields' tab of the Preferences Dialog allows you to select from the various BLOX fields to display. In general, if the asset doesn't have a value, nothing will be shown.
Double-click on any of the options to move it from the available options at the bottom to the selected options at the top - or vice versa.
Then click the `OK` button.
Grid View: This single column version of the Grid view shows some additional asset details which were selected from the 'Grid View Fields' tab of the Preferences dialog.
That image above shows some grid view search results with the selected Grid View preferences chosen in the prior image.
